PostPosted: Fri Nov 20, 2015 6:49 pm    Post subject: Mega-Band "Imagine"

I've posted a 14-part version o' John Lennon's "Imagine" on the Files Page here—it's m' hope that we can assemble a full 24-person Raid t' play it, somewhere near th' end o' th' Event on Sunday. With that in mind, I'd like t'  say just how I think it ought t' be approached, in terms o' what all gets played. Th' tune starts out pretty much as ye'd expect, but as it goes along, more an more instruments ("voices", if y' will) are added to it.

Now obviously 24 don't get divided evenly by 14, so we can't just double EVERYthin; But certain parts won't really require it. SO, in case anyone's actually READIN this post, I'd like th'      following parts t' NOT  BE DOUBLED: Drum 1; Basic Lute; MM Harp 2; Bagpipe 2.

I figger no matter what, it'll take a certain amount o' scuffling around t' get everyone situated, but if there's a few other folks that know what's wanted, it can't hurt ;)

Next Sunday there will be a special gathering on the Sirannon server to support the French Lotro community following the attacks in Paris.   Notenzauber will play for half an hour and then all musicians are welcome to perform.  We hope that many of our fellow Crickits will be able to make the trip.

Please spread the word to your friends and fellow musicians so that we may stand together with the French people.

(For those who may have trouble with the image: #FriendshipFrance will take place on the Sirannon server on Sunday, November 22nd at 3pm EST/server time on the Bree stage in front of the Prancing Pony)
