Meet the Mystic Knights

What's the story behind your band's founding?
The Mystic Knights is normally just me, Pinoh, and my alts. I realized about 6 years ago, on Brandywine that it would really help if I could test my songs before bringing them before the band I was with at time Runic Knights Orchestra. Since then they are mainly my practice and testing band but I have been known to perform with them at B&J on Crick or on a whim on Landroval.

How did your band get its name?
I've always been a big fan of Danny Elfman and his original band Oingo Boingo. Not many people know the band was originally called The Mystic Knights of Oingo Boingo. Also I thought it sounds cool and resembles the name of my first kin in Lotro. The Runic Knights. I took Mystic Knights as my name recently after they allowed the word Knight to be used in kin names without petitioning. i actually petitioned once and tehy denied me. I have also performed in the past with my alts in my other kin Mystic Nights.

How did your members meet one another?
Well it's mainly just me but my good friend and fellow band member with Les Beaux Chapeaux of Landroval will be helping me perform at Shirefest this year. I met Fincin when I moved to Landroval and started playing with LBC when I was still with RKO. All the music played by Mystic Knights can be heard at LBC concerts.

How would you describe your band's music?
Diverse and complex. I do everything from world music, to rock, pop, anime, classical, even some heavy metal. I like trying to do songs most other bands don't do but I won't shy away from main stream music.

How do you decide which songs to play?
I chose songs that I like and show a range of my abilities. Also some of the more popular ones I've received compliments on in the past.

What's the highlight of your band's time together?
The highlight for me is when I can play songs and make people happy

Does your band play a regular concert? If so, when and where?
Not at this time but I have been thinking about a time slot on Landroval. Otherwise my music can be heard every other Sunday night with LBC of Landroval.

Does your band have a website, Twitter feed, Youtube channel, or links to any performances?
No but LBC does http://w11.zetaboards.com/LesBeauxChapeaux/index/

What's the one thing we should know about your band above all else?
I just want to have fun and treat people nicely

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about your group?
Playing music is the main thing that's kept me playing Lotro for 6+ years. I love the music community in Lotro. I don't know what I'll do when they finally pull the plug on this game. That will be never I hope
