I was going to reply earlier to tell you the time differences of both concerts are not entirely the same. The overlap is about two hours. Also, it is entirely impossible to be on top of all the servers to know what is going on. I thank you for taking the time to plan this event and appreciate your efforts to make it happen.

My apologies.  When I set out to do this, I checked everywhere for a free date to play.  I checked Lotro Forums, I checked LotroArtists, I check Reddit weekly at least.  No where did I see that anyone else had anything planned.

If I did, I would have changed the date.  I apologize, because on the 4th, travelling music lovers and audience members will be split between 2 full concerts.  The first mention I had of Gondamon Rock was via Lasswen asking me to put them on the schedule after a certain time because they were playing there as well, 2 weeks ago.

I will completely understand if band leaders playing in both concerts have to disappear in order to play their sets in Gondamon, or want to go cheer on friends in other bands there.  I am just slightly disappointed that I will not be able to give the bands the biggest audience they can get here on Crickhollow.  Crickets will still show up, but the numbers of fans from Laurelin, Landy, and other servers will be less, as they choose which concert to go to in a saturated market.

I also feel bad for pulling audience members away from Gondamon Rock.  I don't like competitions, I like collaborations.

Bands need an audience.  I have, and will continue to do my best to try to bring as many audience members to a show as possible, with advertisements, shout-outs, the best posters that zero money can buy, and keeping this site up as a platform for musicians and fans.

Full schedule went up last week, we got the "Cordovan Bump" in the Lotro Forums, we are in the Beacon, and I'll put the Schedule Poster up on Reddit next Friday for a last minute push there.

And as always,

Thank you for playing for us!

Edit: I'm a moron.  After really looking at the schedule, and being really confused about CEST gmt+2 and what that means, it looks like GR will end at 6pm server time?  Which if correct, we'll still have some overlap, but most of Laliapalooza will be after GR ends.  So I don't feel so bad now.  Still, if I had known, I would have pushed the whole thing back an hour to give Telimektar a better chance of a bigger audience.

Teaser Poster 1 up now at LotroArtists, date set, but not time, yet.

Will work on Teaser Poster 2 (with ALL band names) next, and then Schedule Poster 1, when I get full confirmation from band leaders.

Alt Rock Band presents Laliapalooza, Crickhollow's first Alternative Rock Festival!

A day-long event featuring multiple bands playing the best of 90's Alternative/Grunge/Pre-Industrial/Post-Punk/Other music!

Based in part on the earlier years of the Lollapalooza festival, and 90's Alt radio and MTV's 120 minutes and Alternative Nation.

Nirvana, Janes Addiction, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Living Color, NIN, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Primus, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Allternica, Screaming Trees, Korn, Audioslave, Queens of the Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Weezer, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Offspring, Staind, and a whole ton more!

I'd definitely like to stick within the parameters above, even though Lollapalooza is also known for Techno/Hip-hop/Pop bands as well, featuring Ice Cube, Ice T, Prodigy, Moby, Daft Punk, Lady Gaga, all that...we can maybe expand into that stuff in following years.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday, September 4th, is the date I'm aiming for.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right now we're at the pre-planning stage.  Ultimately, I would like to have several bands that will Headline, playing at least an hour's worth of Alternative Rock.  I would also like several Opening bands, that could play a half-hour's worth of Alternative Rock.  Opening bands can have the benefit of posting their sets if they want, in which case 9/10 times Headline bands will pass on those songs, having larger songbooks to choose from.  Obviously, some songs are just too cool, and hearing several versions of the same song would actually be kind of neat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have contacted a few bands, those who I was certain had an amount of Alternative Rock/Grunge.

Headlining so far are: Alt Rock Band (it's in the name...), Mardi Gras Party Band, PPPB, Wee Free Banshees, Mushroom Stew.

Opening bands so far: Telimektar, No Whole Bard, and Rakes of Kilkarill.

If anyone wishes to change from Headliner to Opener, or from Opener to Headliner, let me know!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Laliapalooza will start sometime after the Breakfast Club is finished at the earliest.  The total run-time will depend on the number of bands playing, and how long they will play for.  So, we'll easily have at least 5 hours minimum as things stand.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If any band that I have not contacted wishes to play Laliapalooza, please let me know ASAP.  I am not psychic, and do not know everyone's songbooks, so I only contacted bands that I have actually heard play several Alt Rock songs.  If I missed someone, and they have a bunch of songs, and want to be a part, I'm sorry if I missed you, please just let me know if you are interested.  Let me know if you would like to Headline or Open.

I also don't want this to run the entire day and evening, so I will stop accepting "applications" if I think we've grown too large.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh, and the stage itself will be in front of/under the red and white canopy where the Spring Festival flowers quest giver would be, just west of the Boar Fountain, near the south entrance to Lalia's.

Any questions at all, just ask here or yell at me in game, or email me!
