Welcome to the Spring Music Festival Sign up! for Sunday April 1st 3PM Edt -4 Gmt

we have max number of 10 slots and each solo performer will have about 10 mins to play a few songs, players must have at least 1 or more lyrics and put on a good show, Also songs/lyrics must be made by you, and have fun! Winners will receive 500 LOTRO Points!

I would kindly like to apply for the soloist competition. I’m always up for some hearty competition.

I think you know me as Rhunt, leader of the performance artist group P.I.E.

My main character is Rhunt on the Landroval server.

Rhunt is also on Crickhollow, Sirannon, Laurelin, and several other servers that I can’t remember at the moment.

I’ll do my hobbity best to entertain the Lasses, Lads, and everyone else in attendance!

According to the official forums post, it is a competition with 4 judges and the winner will take home 500 LP. The competition will start at 3pm EDT/server time.

My Dwarven bandmate, (1) Pfunki would like to participate in your musical event. 

He usually plays drums and sings in our band, (2)  Imladris Sunset, on (3) Crickhollow and Landroval, but likes to sing and play his own songs too.  

Please let me know if there will be room for him at the event. (He is kind of wide--don't tell him  I said so.)

I take it "songs... must be made by you" means the arrangements for lotro (i.e. the .abc files) must be made by the contestant.

I did answer Via PMs but i'll do it here too so its  clear. All tunes and lyrics must be made by the player, meaning songs you made into ABC using whatever program there is for making ABC files :)

I'm afraid I lack the musical talent to make my own ABC files. I use files made by other people or convert them from other people's MIDI files. Therefore I'm afraid I have to withdraw from the contest.

It is my understanding that this is OK...The .abc file must be made by you, but you do not have to create the source for the .abc yourself.

This is correct, only ABCs have to be made by you, not the midi file. Midi files is what needed to make ABC though, but not required to make Midi file yourself.
