What's the story behind your band's founding?

Paranoyd: Weeds came to Lotro in 2022, unawared about the music system, but once we discovered that it was possible to make original arrangements and play music almost in the same way as irl, we started to focus on it.
Meroow: I play with the band from summer, 2023.
Paranoyd: And since then, we´re living a dream!

How did your band get its name?

Paranoyd: As founder, I´ve choosen the name that had more to do with my philosophy and lifestyle. By coincidence, in Lotro, "weed" is part of the background context, so it fitted perfectly.
Meroow: I think so.

How did your members meet one another?

Paranoyd: I was taking care of the band myself until August, 2023, when Meroow found us gigging at CH, and after a good chat about music, I invited her to jam with us, and it was love at first sight! lol
Meroow: Not really, more like at first listen.. Para was playing nice Metallica covers in Bree and I found excited with that.

How would you describe your band's music?

Paranoyd: Heavy and symphonic metal, alt and classic rock, basically.

How do you decide which songs to play?

Paranoyd: I had a rock band long time ago and I think is awesome to be able to play in Lotro the same songs that I used to play that time, so most songs we´ve played in the beginning were from my old rl sets, basically metal and alt rock.
I´ve always flirted with classics, but I've never really dedicated myself to them, until Meroow started to bring some "pearls" that now are definitely part of our main set. In Weeds story there are 2 diff phases: BM/AM (before and after Meroow), thx to "Meroow´s quality control" (inside joke), since she came everything has improved. It's undeniable that her great inspiration and musical taste made us evolve from the Dark Ages to the Dream Team!
Meroow: We have equal voting rights, in theory :D
Paranoyd: Humble girl... I wouldn´t decide anything without your advices.

Do you have a signature song?

Paranoyd: We agree that Radiohead and Metallica really show who we are, btw, Paranoid Android is the song that inspired my nickname, I´ve played it a thousand times irl and in a few occasions in Lotro, and its arrangements show much about how we play..
Meroow: I agree, it was my first rehearsal with a band and it wasn't easy. So, Radiohead i will remember forever..

What's the highlight of your band's time together?

Paranoyd: No doubt our best moments are in festivals, where we play long sets to tell a whole story. In Laliapalooza 2023, Meroow debuted in Weeds and we covered my favourite band, Radiohead, after that we have great memories about Little Monsters (Metallica), Winterfest, where we made a tribute to some great dead artists and Monsters of Rock, where we covered Therion, our first symphonic metal concert, Im sure we´ll never forget that moments but the best is yet to come!
Meroow: For me? Our band’s time together.. I love the daily evening music rehearsals.

Do you have any embarrassing stories about a time when things didn't go so well?

Paranoyd: Many things happens on the backstage, but probably the most embarrassing situation is when we make wrong swaps and its not possible to keep playing and pretend that nothing happend... lol
Meroow: When he scolded me because I was talking stupidly..

Does your band play a regular concert? If so, when and where?

Paranoyd: We gig casually on sunday mornings at Crick, Bree Land CH, however, we haven't had time to schedule regular concerts so far.
Meroow: We have many plans about it, but only at paper...

Paranoyd: We cover artists with important messages that we try to keep alive, so you will find interesting thoughts in most lyrics we sing.
